Las Vegas is a ton of fun and what you pack should be too!
You could just throw all your favorite outfits and accessories in a big suitcase and call it a day.
Or if you prefer to travel with just carry on luggage, create a mini-capsule wardrobe where you can mix and match pieces to create endless combos.

Las Vegas has some of the best pools in the world, so don’t forget to pack your swimsuit!
You’re in Vegas for fun, so chances are high you’ll spend a lot of time by your hotel’s pool during the day, so pack a swimsuit that you love and feel confident in. Kind of like your favorite outfit, but in swimsuit form.
Swimsuit Cover Ups
Speaking of swimsuits, if you’re planning to spend time by the pool, pack a cover up that is easy to put on and off.
This will make going from pool to cafe or hotel room to pool a breeze. No one wants to deal with fussy layers!
Las Vegas outfits for daytime
If you’ll be out and about in Las Vegas during the day, instead of lounging by the pool, keep your outfits loose and breezy.
Think flowy sun dresses, rompers, or shorts and tank tops. Don’t forget a layer of sunscreen to protect against sunburns!
If you happen to be in Las Vegas in the Winter months, that’s about the only time of the year you’ll need warm layers. Think jeans and sweaters or long sleeve blouses.
Las Vegas dresses and night outfits
Don’t feel like you have to wear something short and tight at night in Las Vegas. But DO have fun with your nighttime apparel. Above all else, pack something that makes you feel fabulous and festive.
Yes, even if all you’re doing is going to dinner and hitting up a few slot machines, have fun with your night time apparel!
A quick and easy way to decide if you’ve got a great Las Vegas dress is to pack something in a bold color, sexy silk fabric, or something embellished in sequins, beads, or embroidery.
Accessories don’t take up much room and can change an outfit with little effort.
First off, be sure to pack a hat and sunglasses for extra sun protection. That Las Vegas desert sun is STRONG!
Aside from that, a few pieces of fun jewelry is really all you need. Las Vegas is the perfect place to bust out a statement necklace or flashy earrings to dress up an outfit.
Purses and bags
If you plan your outfits ahead of time, you can definitely get away with 1-2 purses: one for the pool and other day time activities and another for night.
If you insist on packing only 1 purse, I recommend a crossbody bag that coordinates with all of your outfits, including your pool attire.
Otherwise, a cute straw or canvas beach bag for daytime and a funky clutch or crossbody purse for nighttime is all you need.
Shoes for Las Vegas
Two to three pairs of shoes for a weekend in Vegas is all you need. Generally, you should be able to get away with 1 pair of sandals or flip-flops for the day and 1 pair of heels or dress shoes for night. However, if you have plans to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon or any of the other natural parks nearby, I recommend packing a pair of sneakers, as well.
