Established in 1916, Acadia National Park was the first US national park on the east coast. It is located in Maine and visited by more than 3 million people each year.

Acadia National Park includes over 49,000 acres of gorgeous beaches, cliffs, forest, gardens, and other outdoor scenery. It is home to Cadillac Mountain, the first place to see the sun rise on the east coast in the Fall and Winter.

Acadia offers a variety of outdoor activities, such as bird watching, camping, carriage rides, hiking, rock climbing, and swimming.

One of my favorite activities at Acadia is enjoying a picnic lunch on the cliffs at Little Hunter's Beach. Little Hunter's Beach is somewhat hidden and not well marked, which means it's usually quiet and almost never crowded.
